....does this not make sense??

I am wanting to write a review of the book I'm reading (once I'm finished with it, of course wink), but I wasn't sure how to post a review on here.  Therefore, I looked up the answer & was shocked to see that a review can be written on a book that is listed on your TBR pile.

Well, color me confused, but how can you write a review of a book you haven't read yet?  What would you say??

"This book is the most pathetic one I've never read before........." (?!)

"I really liked the book I am about to read!!"

Ahh, I rest my case. Carry on. cool

I have books on my TBR pile that I have read before, years ago. Some are just so nice, you gotta read them twice. :)

My books stay on my TBR pile for a while after I've read them, as I pass them on to DH, DD, and DS.

Oh, I never really thought about leaving books on your TBR list!  Good thinking! smiley

I leave library books I've read on my TBR list.  That way I'll see the listing and think twice about it before ordering.

I have books on my TBR list here that have been there since I joined in 2007. I never use the TBR list here, so it doesn't reflect what I've read and haven't read at all.

Some people post books they've already read to the TBR so they can see what's WL before they jsut start posting books.  Helps to keep postage costs under control.

I personally use the BIR for books I've actually read.  If you give a star rating to a book, it'll put it on your BIR and show when searching for books to help you keep from ordering a book you've already read or own.

I use the TBR on here a lot.  I use the note feature to mark where I've put a book, if I still need to acquire a book that comes before it in a series, if it's unpostable or if I've offered it in a game or virtual box.

And there ya go Amber . . . PBS members use our TBR and Reminder Lists in various and customized ways!  Another useful idea is to 'friend' yourself, then send pm's and archive them for keeping stuff you want to remember.

BTW, welcome to PBS!

Wow, yeah, I am learning something new every day! Thanks for all the heads up everyone! I just thought it was a list to keep track of books you want to read & that was all.  So it didn't make sense to me to write a review from that page but now it does make sense. cheeky

Thank you all for explaining it to me! smiley
