Siddons is one of my favorite authors so I am probably prejudiced about this book but I thought it was great! A little depressing. I don't remember her other books being quite so morose but even with that being said it certainly kept my interest. Her characters are always so believable and become friends of the reader as well. She still remains, in my opinion, a terrific writer.

Siddons at her best. Could not put the book down. Loved the lasting devotion of these long time low country friends, maintaining their friendships through all the years of good and bad. I was surprised with the "twist" at the end. Highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read Anne Rivers Siddons!
