Hey, all you Black Dagger Brotherhood fans,

Did you know our beloved JR Ward writes romance (non-paranormal) under the name Jessica Bird? I didn't until just recently! She has quite a few out.  I've read 3 so far, and they are good.  Short, not so dark, but still with an edge.  I especially liked The Billionaire Next Door, the first in the group about the O'Banyon brothers who grew up in South Boston...  Sean, the character in this story, even mentions memories of eating at his friend's house, Butch O'Neal.  Yep, that's the same Butch that you know and love from the BDB series!  So cool.  I'm looking forward to the next books on the rest of the O'Banyon brothers, as well as the others out there.

Some of the books are readily available, and I've got a couple on my shelf now.  If you're a fan, check them out. I mean, we can only re-read the BDB series so many times, right???

I really like her writing under both names. I love the Brotherhood books and I have read An Irresistible Bachelor (2004) and An Unforgettable Lady (2004).

I'll check out your bookshelf for others. :)

Colette,

The books should be off to you next week! I'm so glad you're getting both, because they have characters in common. How did you like An Irresistible Bachelor and An Unforgettable Lady? I have them on my wish list.

I really enjoyed them too. They are connected with some of the same characters too. They both had a good edge to them like you indicated in the ones I ordered.  I wasn't sure what to expect after the Brotherhood but I flew right through them both. :)  I bought them new and had them snatched right up when I posted them. She sure doubled her following, I think.

Hi,

I received a copy of His Comfort and Joy, part of this series, and I believe it's unpostable. It has minor water damage and discoloration. It's perfectly readable, but I wouldn't want to swap it, in case someone gets upset. If you order another book off my bookshelf, I'll throw this one in for free. Let me know...

I had read her Jessica Bird books, but I didn't realize they were the same person until recently. The newest one she had out made a reference to the title character knowing Butch.

Thanks for the info, I'm definately going to check out some of her books under Jessica Bird at my library, since I love the BDB and the next book isn't out for awhile!

She will be at the RT conv. in April.  So if you live close by come to the book fair on Sat. and have her sign your books. It cost $5 to get in.

Yeah, but RT is in PA, and I'm out here in CA.  :(  June seems like a long ways away to me, Collette...
