Finished Kill Alex Cross by James Patterson. This is was not your typical James Patterson book I found it to be boring. The title really has nothing to do with the story. I will continue the series but this book is not one of the better in the series. Also finished The Book of the Dead by Preston and Child . This was another great adventure in Pendergast series. I really enjoy these books. Up next is The Lost Ones by Ace Atkins. Looking forward to see what happens to Quinn in this book. This is the second book in the series. Happy reading Tammy |

No reading for me in what seems like ages...had my Mom with me for a couple of weeks, and spent last week at Hospice with her until she passed away on Friday night - thus no concentration for even as much as my newspaper. Lots to catch up on/do, but hope to be able to start a bit of reading/relaxation in the relatively near future...I've certainly missed it, and lots of good books have been piling up on my TBR. |

Yes, Jodi, my thoughts are with you too at this difficult time. No matter how prepared we think we are for this - WE'RE NOT! It still hurts.....time is the main healer. |

I read Beautiful Lies by Lisa Unger. 'Nuf said. Polished off Wicked Business by Janet Evanovich. I don't know why I read that nonsense but I felt compeled to read the thing. And we're only on the second stone! I'm still reading Dead Watch and have started Buried in a Book by Lucy Arlington. It seemed to have a slow start and I wasn't sure about it but suddenly I'm into it. Need a new car book and have the latest Psychic Eye, Lethal Outlook so I might go with that, so many I want to grab I don't know where I'll go. I have some Milt Kovack and some of the Sharyn Howard to read too. Leaning toward those too...

Jodi, I'm so sorry for your loss. It was good that you got to be near your mom at the end. I can't remember what I posted I was reading last, but just about to start Started Early, Took My Dog by Kate Atkinson (Jackson Brodie #4) in audio and have started The Tarnished Chalice by Susanna Gregory (#12 Matthew Bartholomew historical mystery) for my bedtime read. I'm reading The Fear Artist by Tim Hallinan (the most recent Poke Rafferty book) also but it's a big hardcover and hard to hold onto while lying in bed. On my Kindle I'm in the middle of Devices and Desires by P.D. James which I think is #9 Adam Dalgleish. Cheryl |

I'm so sorry about your mom Jodi.
I finished three books this past week. Viral by James Lilliefors, Search the Dark. by Charles Todd, and I Shall Not Want by Julia Spencer-Fleming. I'm not doing much for my TBR since all three were library books. |

I finished Elegy for Eddie by Jacqueline Winspeare. Book 9 of Maisie Dobbs. Very nice addition to the series I would like to see them move her character a long a bit, but it is now 1933 London so you can see the growing worry of another war. alice |

I am really looking forward to that one, Alice--I actually have the audio version of Elegy for Eddie stashed on my Kindle, it was one of the freebies I got when I joined Audible. I don't know how long I'll keep my Audible membership--it seems sort of wasteful, because once I listen to a book I am likely not going to listen again, and there it is sitting on my device like a bump on a log. If were an audio on CD at least I could trade it or loan it out. Cheryl |

Everyone must be busy watching the Olympics or on holiday!!! Got home from the beach. Had fun with the girls and the grands. Now tomorrow I am back to Oklahoma to see about mother. We have a few doctor's appointments, but I am hoping to stay only one week this. Hopefully, no further excitement from this trip!! As to reading, I just finished the newest Linda Castillo book with the former Amish female sheriff whose name escapes me just this second. It was a good one. This is a series I really enjoy. Not sure what I will start next. Do not usually take wishlist books on trips. No doubt among the 200+ books on the shelves I will find something (hee hee). |
