80% done with Grave Mercy. Ok but not my usual type. Listening to Family Pictures by Jane Green in the car. I enjoyed Wedding Night aLot. Very funny.

Finished up Tokyo Heist...It was just ok, not a whole lot of action going on but not totally boring. Now I am starting Unearthly by Cynthia Hand

Well,  I finished up If I Should Die...  and while it was good and all, I didn't think it was as good as the first two in the series...  and some things just got left open that I felt could have been handled better...  of course she may be planning a spin-off series or something....

I am reading Fever by Lauren DeStefano. It is book 2 in Chemical Garden Trilogy. Love this series. Good characters and great relationships in the book.

I am reading  Whispers at Moonrise (Shadow Falls, Bk 4) :: C. C. Hunter. I enjoy the seires, lots of twist and turns to the plot. I think it would make a good movie.

Alice, I loved that series. I have the 4th book on my wishlist, might end up just buying it before i forget what happened in the first 3 lol. How are you liking it? I find that almost all series lose their lustre after the 2nd book but this series was still keeping me interested.

Jennifer I like it but it is not quite as good. They dwell on one aspect of the book quite a bit. I would like to say yes we know this fact so lets move on and see where it goes on from there. Overall I like all the characters in the book and the different chemistry between them . My daughter likes the series a lot too.

I finished The Rising (Darkness Rising, Bk 3) :: Kelley Armstrong. Easy reading. Ties her two YA series together. She could have cut the book in half and not lost much content.

I have the Rising up in a swap so I figure I better read it. I wanted to see how it ended.

Oh my goodness I absolutely loved Unearthly... I literally gobbled up the last two hundred pages and wasted no time getting into Hallowed. I know I will be needing to get my hands on the third one very soon! Didn't really expect to like this book as much as I did.. Fantasy novels just never appealed to me, but ths one has my mind changed!

I recently finished reading The Pledge, which was a quick, easy read, but maybe a bit too much fairy tale for me.  I liked it, but didn't love it, kwim?  Now I'm finally reading Birthmarked, and am really enjoying it so far.

Alice, I loved the Chemical Garden books too. I'm waiting for the third one!

Of Triton was not quite as good as Of Poseidon was...  I think it was a bit rushed...  and the romance portion was not as good as the first  one...  there is a third book coming in the series, so I will be interested to see where it goes....

man, i have had NO TIME to read these days.  Thank goodness for audiobooks as I've listened ot FAMILY PICTURES by Jane Green last week and I'm 1/3 of the way through AND THE MOUNTAINS ECHOED by Khalid.  so far though, this one has not pulled me in like his other 2 have...I didn't want to stop listening to the other 2.  This one, there are so many stories and characters going on that it's hard to keep track... I'm hoping it all circles around together at some point...

I just finished Fallen by Lauren Kate and am eagerly awaiting the next two books to come in at my library.  My co-worker who is also a big YA reader just brought me a big stack of books with both The Selection and The Elite in it.  I'm trying to wait until I finish the Fallen series, but they are calling to me....

I am reading The 5th Wave and it is awesome. I used to read a lot and then I stopped because I didn't have time.  Now I have converted to an e-Reader so I make time to read now and I am really enjoying myself.  Next on my list to read is Unearthly.

I am almost done with Dark Triumph (His Fair Assassin Trilogy) :: Robin LaFevers. It is the sequal to Grave Mercy's. Truthfully I like the first one better. I think it is because I do not find the lead members as interesting as the orginal lead Ismae. Each book will have a different lead

I have a general YA question. I notice most YA books are trilogies as opposed to adult books the series goes on forever any idea why?

I just finished reading Golden by Jessi Kirby and really enjoyed it. It was a fast read with characters I could relate to and a story that kept me interested until the end. I definately recommend it!

Water and Storm Country by David Estes.  He's an indy writer.  I highly recommend his Dwellers and Country sagas.

After this, I have to get back to Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza.

My 14 year old is reading The Berlin Boxing Club.   He has to read this before he starts the 9th grade, in August.
