James Herriot is one of my all time favorite writers. You live his stories with him and one minute you are laughing and one minute you are crying. I loved this book because I could see the places where his stories happened. They were no longer just a picture in my mind. Not only are there beautiful pictures but they are accompanied by Herriot sharing his memories and antedotes associated with them. A great combination of a picture and reading book. Very good

This is a duplicate for me. This ISBN 0718121449 is a paperback which is the version published in England. This is a lovely book filled with lots of full color photographs of Yorkshire.
