I discovered the Harmony series by accident and like them.  I like the fact that I've read them out of order so far and have been able to follow the series just fine.  The last thing I need is another series that must be read in order to follow.  I have stacks of them already.

So now I notice that she has another series about a psychic planet called St Helens.  Are they very similar?  Or are they different enough to make it worth reading both series?

eta: well it seems this series-or at least some of them are hard to come by.  I guess I'll check my library. But I would still like to know how similar they are. I dont' want to waste my time tracking them down if they basically the same as the Harmony books.

Hi Mary, I assume the St Helen series is the one with flower names for the titles? If so, I have read both series and found them sufficiently different. The Harmony/Ghost Hunter series has a more "foreign/fontier" feel to it with unusual machines, unique creatures, new customs, etc. The St Helen series had a more futuristic earth feel, the setting was recognizable but with a few twists. The psychic elements were very different both in the type of psychic abilities and in how they were used in daily life. Now of course since we are talking about Jayne Castle AKA JAK the writting style, types of heros and heroines, and romance are all very similar.  I read both series out of order and had no trouble keeping up. The only draw back, (if you want to call it that) to reading out of order was learning a few specifics about how the other H/h overcome the villian and are now living HEA.

I would say if you enjoyed the Ghost Hunters read the St Helen series, if nothing else it will give you hours of pleasant mindless escape. Hope this helps.

Edit because I cannot spell.

Yes, Kathleen is correct - St. Helens books are: Amaryllis, Zinnia & Orchid.  These are totally different than the Harmony books.  I enjoyed them all & are on my keeper shelf.  The premise is that each person has a unique talent & needs the help of a "prism" (another person) to help focus that talent to the greatest extent.

Zinnia is wishlisted here on PBS & I just posted a copy I found in the thrift store yesterday.

So does this mean you are done with my book - Silver Master that I won in the Romance Addict swap(wink, wink)??? ;-)

ETA: you must read After Dark before After Glow - the 2nd is a continuation of the same story/couple.  All loose ends are tied up in the 2nd book.

I'm almost done Nancy.

Thanks for the info. I was suprised to see that a couple are WL.  I probably get them through my library.  Amazon has Orchid.  I don't know the order they go.  I'll look that up.

I'm going to get the rest of the Harmony books from my library they have the whole series. There's a new Ghost Hunter book coming out this fall called Grey Obsidian.

She had several SF romances before these two series.  The Shield's Lady was one of the better early ones.

I also liked "Sweet Starfire", another early SF one.  Mary, I enjoyed her "flower" books (in fact, I have all 3 on my keeper shelf) and would recommend them.

I read Sweet Starfire a long time ago. I have Shield's Lady and the other one.
