Hi! I'm new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone else here really liked Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. I just finished the first one, Halfway to the Grave, and I loved it! It was very fast though...action non-stop, which is cool, but no time to take a breath, lol.

I tried reading Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison, but I couldn't get into such a different type of world. Does anyone have any suggestions on books that would be similar to the Night Huntress series? (This is the first Vampire book I've read.)

Thanks!

Leslie

I love Patricia Briggs' books.  Mercy Thompson is great.  I am now reading the Queen Betsy series by Mary Janice Davidson.  They are light-hearted and funny; also a quick read.  I didn't see the Sookie Stackhouse series mentioned by you.  Great series.  Although I wasn't real crazy about bk 9.

I've requested books for both series by  Karen Chance. On my WL! I might go out and buy Midnight's Daughter (Dorina Basarab, Dhampir, BK 2) and pass it through here. I'm also going to check out Red-Headed Stepchild (Sabina Kane) by Jaye Wells. I might buy that one as well.

I read the first Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs a long time ago and I liked it. I think I'll check out the second.

Thanks for all the recomendations:) I was on Amazon for hours last night checking out different books, lol.

FYI. Jeanine Frost's latest in the Night Huntress series is out since Wed. this week. It's "Destined for an Early Grave", Book 4. I'm reading it right now and it is great. I can't wait to finish it tonight.

I just finished the book of anthology "Four Dukes and a Devil" which includes Frost's "Devil to Pay", as well.

Happy reading!

i'm planning on reading that anthology this week.  is the story related to her Night Huntress universe?  i couldn't tell from the back cover.

i'm up to #2 on the WL for "Destined for an Early Grave", so i'm really hoping i'll be getting a copy soon!

I just started the Anna Strong series by Jeanne C. Stein.  I am almost done with the first book (I went ahead and bought the first two) and so far I really like it!

Anna Strong's series looks good. I'm waiting for the 3rd in Jeaniene Frost's series, from the library, and I have the 4th ready to read. "Poor Bones"?! Wait... don't tell me, lol.

I'm also waiting for the 3rd in Karen Chance's Cassandra Palmer series and have the 4th. That war mage is, um, complicated!!!
