Jeff Gulvin is a prolific writer, first published in 1996 he's been full time since 1997. Due to financial considerations the above title The List was never written and The Procession was the last thriller Jeff wrote under his own name. He never enjoyed the commercial success the quality of his work deserved and since 2001 has had no option but write under another name and work as a ghost for other people. As Adam Armstrong he wrote two novels published in English: Cry of The Panther and Song of The Sound. These titles enjoyed huge success in Holland and De Boekerij subsequently edited and published three more novels, none of which was published in English.

In 2007 Jeff ghosted Long Way Down, the account of a motorcycle trip from John O Groats to Cape Town, by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. Long Way Down was the most successful travel book of 2007, also the biggest selling book of the year for publisher Little Brown and subsequently won best non fiction book of the year at the Galaxy British Book Awards. Since then Jeff has completed two more books for Charley Boorman.

Jeff is married to Kim, and has two daughters Amy and Chloe.

Song of the Sound - the second of his novels written under his great grandfather's name Adam Armstrong is being made into a motion picture in 2011, to be filmed on location in Fiordland, NZ. The book will be re-released only this time under the author's real name.

No longer writing crime thrillers himself, in 2010 Jeff devised and wrote the novel"The Gathering of Souls" with his friend Gerry O'Carroll, a much praised retired police officer and former member of the Garda Siochana's elite Murder Squad, also known by their critics in the liberal media as the "Heavy Gang".
