As always, Whitlow is a fantasic writer. This is not his typical law and order book. Will bring tears to your eyes.

If you are familiar with Robert Whitlow's books, then you know what an awesome author he is, and how he can tell a story that goes into wonderful detail and goes straight to the heart. Jimmy is one such book. It is profoundly moving and an incredible read. I suggest a box of tissues nearby as you reach the end, as you are definitely going to need some.

I always wanted to read Robert Whitlow. Jimmy is a terrific book about a special boy. It's a book from a child's viewpoint that shows their innocence in an intimate, stirring, funny and very compelling. It takes place in the South and you'll recognize some of the types of characters so it makes it real. You'll love this book.

A touching tale and a good read. One interesting thing is that there is a web address at the end of the book where you can go and read an alternate ending to the book.
