I have not read this book. Can't tell you how it got into my collection. Henry Fielding is an English author (1707-1754). This book was first published in 1742. The 1961 date in the listing is the copyright date by Marti C. Battestin. The title page from the first edition of this book in 1742 read: The HISTORY of the ADVENTURES of JOSEPH ANDREWS And of his Friend Mr. AABRAHAM ADAMS. Written in Imitation of The Manner of Cervantes, Author of Don Quixote. IN TWO VOLUMES. VOL. I. LONDON: Printed for A. Millar, over-againft St. Clenent's Church, in the Strand. M.ddc.xlii.
