I am a third of the way through the sixth Russ Van Alstyne/Clare Fergusson mystery and I'm starting to get worried.  Has anyone heard anything about another book in this series?  The author's website has not been updated since April of last year.

Hmmm....

I checked at the Stop You're Killing Me website and didn't see anything listed in their upcoming publishings.

Oh, and THANKS for giving me yet another series to read. lol!

Oh, Melani, I really think you'll enjoy this one!!  Good mysteries and GREAT sexual tension between Van Alstyne and Fergusson.  I'll admit to being a bit leery of a series whose protagonist is an Episcopalian priest but I need not have worried.  The books are great!

Plus, the author lives in Portland, Maine so I keep imagining that she is picking out lettuce and tomatoes alongside my aunt at the local Hanneford store! :D

Oh.  Definitely read these in order.  You'll be confused if you don't.  The first one won every award available to a mystery book, it's that good. :D  Happy shopping!!!!!  Heeeeeee!

I already bought the first one LeeAnne!  DH got me a Kindle for my birthday.  It's very dangerous for my budget and reading addiction!  I finished up a book this morning and was looking for what to read next.  Your recommendation sealed it for me!

I'm saving my PBS credits for books that aren't available on the Kindle.  I read one on my Kindle and then a book on my shelf.  lol  I'm very methodical about it.  (yes, we all know I am still a nerd!)

I miss Maine SO much!  We recently found out that we'll be moving back up there within the next 18 months.  I cannot wait!

I'm afeared of Kindle.  I HAVE to stay away. I keep telling myself that I love the feel and smell of books in the hand too much to ever go to e-books but I keep hearing from friends who have the same reverence for books that I have who absolutely love Kindle.

And NOW YOU!  ARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!

I am running far and fast away from Kindle!  **coughcoughmaybeifIevergetanotherjobcoughcough** :(

In case you didn't know, there is access to a free short story with Claire and Russ on the author's website. It is called "COLLECT FOR A NOONDAY SERVICE".

hehehe LeeAnne!  I ADORE my Kindle.  I have been reading almost twice as much as I have in ages.  I was worried about possible eye strain but I haven't had a problem at all.  WHEN you get another job, reward yourself.  You won't be sorry!

I DID have to set up a prepaid card for my Kindle with the amount that I budget for books each month.  Once I've spent that, I have to wait until the next month to buy more.

NO!!!  I must RUN!  Far and FAST!!!  :D

**whispers**That's sort of my plan, Melani.  I'll DEFINITELY need a budget though!

Diane, I've read the story.  I keep checking the website to see if there's more coming!!

I just cruised by Julia Spencer-Fleming's website and she (or someone) posted a brief update just today.  The next book will be out sometime in the fall of winter of this year.  I didn't see a title but there was a brief description.  It sounds good! :)

Good to hear. I've got the first couple of these on my TBR, and I hate when I get hooked on a series that dies out. They sound really good.

I'm glad you found out LeeAnne!  I came back to this thread to suggest that you try to email the author for more info.  Maybe she reads the forums here and saw that we were anxious about the book!
