Ok, so I'm still working on Corralled but its very slow going. Not because I don't like it, but because its a 'paper' book. lol  My kindle is just so much more convenient.

Anyway, in the mean time I've read Pickup Men by L.C. Chase...really like it. I also just finished Jason Luke's newest, Interview with a Porn Star. I loved it, I think its my fave of his yet.

I just finished The Lion's Lady by Julie Garwood. It was on sale for a 1.99 for kindle and I couldn't resist. I read it way, way back in the day and it started my love for alpha men and strong women. I still enjoyed it.

Not because I don't like it, but because its a 'paper' book.

I'm having the same trouble. My goal is to read a physical book on the weekends but I'm really struggling. I read Long Hard Ride (in paperback) and it felt like it took me forever. Part of it was that I kept taking breaks to read samples of other books on my kindle.

Now I'm reading Driven by K. Bromberg. Not sure how I feel about it yet.

Finished Maya Bank's Where Day Breaks (Swanny's book) and it was ok. Maybe it is time for me to give up this series. It was too sticky sweet at times to where I was skimming instead of reading. I think I am through after Hancock's book. Hopefully we will get some edge with his book. I also read Molly Harper's Better Homes and Hauntings and it was a cute read. Any Monster Hunter International fans on the board, finished MHI Nemisis and it was AWESOME!!! If you are a fan of the Franks character this is his book and boy did I learn some things about him. I adore this series and can't wait for the next one! I have a Susan Andersen to read and Miranda Neville to read, not sure which is next.

I'm trying to work my way through some books that have been on my TBR forever, and am now on the third book in Alexis Morgan's Paladines series, In Darkness Reborn (Paladins of Darkness, Bk 3). They're OK.

Keri, I made it to 20% of Swanny's book and quit. That series is definitely off the auto buy list for me.

I'm about 25% into The Promise and while I'm enjoying it, I hope it picks up soon.

I'm working my way through a huge m/m book...The Sergeant by Christa Tomlinson. Only about 30% in but its been very good.

Not too impressed with Maya Banks' Burn. The h was just too unbelievable for me really. I guess the whole story was basically.

Reading Patricia Briggs Bone Crossed now. Awesome. I love that I just never know what is coming within each book and definitely with the series as a whole. I really like Esteps Spider series, but there's a lot of repetition of facts in those and I can see where things are going pretty clearly. So not the case with Briggs.

I have not had any time to read in a looonngggg time, but finally have been getting back into it.  I have started Written in My Own Hearts Blood, but don't expect to finish that one any time soon!  I've read some other books that were on my TBR in between, since it was starting to get out of control.  I also could not resist buying this Kindle book: Rocket Man by Melanie Greene, as she is a friend of mine and this is her first published book.  I had the privilege of reading an early draft of it a couple of years ago and giving her feedback on it, and the final result is great so far!  It's the first in a series, so there is a lot of scene-setting and character introduction, but the characters are vividly described, the dialogue is great, and you really get to know the characters. I know I am biased, but for a first book I am finding it very enjoyable and can't wait for the rest of the series.

I bought a couple of Kristen Ashley e-books for my recent vacation and finished one of them, Heaven and Hell.  It was good, typical KA.  I'm wondering if the rest of the series is worth it- anyone read it?

Lesley, she hasn't written anymore in that series. So far it's a stand alone.

speaking of KA, I'm reading The Will and it's awesome.

Finished Monster in His Eyes and it was awesome. Not a cliff hanger but there is a second...and supposedly (hopefully) last...book coming in the fall. Cant wait. The hero reminds me a lot of Javier from The Artists Trilogy.

Now reading Changing Course by Aly Martinez.

Thanks Rebecca- I hadn't gotten around to actually looking for any of the others in the series, so I guess now I won't bother!  The Will is the other KA book I bought for my vacation but didn't have time to read- glad to know it's good.  I'll start that one when I'm done with Rocket Man.

We're back from vacation!  I only read one book while we were out (it was a road trip), and that was because I got notice that KA's new one, The Promise, was ready from my pre-order.  I charged up my Nook that had been lonely in the glove box and LOVED it.  Frankie & Benny were perfect.  Such a good story.  I hope everyone's having a great summer.  After I finally get done with laundry, I might have time to read some more.

I started Emma Jane Holloways A Study in Silks - and I don't know if I'll be finishing it. It seems like there's a lot of extra rambling and unnecessary information. I'm finding myself skimming over quite a bit and I'm only about 30% into it. And at the rate it's moving, it must be very long. Very, very long. Which is too bad, because it seems to be a good story.

I finished The Will and in my very humble opinion, it was the most beautiful book she's written.

Now I'm reading Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase.

I read R.K. Lilley's Tristan and Danika series and loved it! The good and bad of obsessive love. Now I'm back to Driven, and it's ok. The H and h seem much younger than I expected.

I finished Lord of Scoundrels and really enjoyed it. Her writing style is very enjoyable.

Now I'm finally getting back to Elizabeth Hoyt's Maiden Lane series and reading Lord of Darkness. I just love her.

I'm about 30% into KA's The Promise. I'm running into pieces here and there that are dragging a bit. Love the h and H though. Especially the H.  cheeky

I loved Lord of Scoundrels! One of the handful of books I re-read when I can't decide what else to read.

I read Driven and Fueled. The story would have been good but the H and h came across as immature rather than messed up, which is what the author was going for.

I also read Gone Country (Rough Riders) and really liked it. I'm not reading this series in order so I don't have the different brothers, sons and grandsons figured out. But this one was available for loan so I borrowed it.

Now I'm finally reading Divergent, and Insurgent is next. Both library loans.
