I've been away from PBS for a little bit while I moved and have sooo missed it! How did we make it all the way through June without an "I'm Reading..." thread? Maybe it's the 5-Hour Energy Shot I just took, but I'm in the mood to kick it off early! lol

Right now I'm reading "Cad: Confessions of a Toxic Bachelor" by Rick Marin

Anybody else?

I liked "Cad!" I just thought of it yesterday, that I had liked it but could not really remember a thing about it.

I've started "Scot on the Rocks," the first of the two in that "drinky" series.

I just finished reading two of the Banning Sisters series by Karen Robards - Scandalous and Irresistible.  I am chomping at the bit to run out and purchase Shameless, the newest in the trilogy, but I'm making myself wait until I finish the one that I set aside when I bought these two.

So, currently I'm reading "A Most Sinful Proposal" by Sara Bennett (a first for me by this author) and in the car, I'm listening to the first three of the Plum series - One for the Money, Two for the Dough and Three to get Deadly.  I've finished the first two and just started the third one today.

Michelle, let me know how you like Joshilyn Jackson. I have a few books on my RL but have never read anything by her.

I picked up "There's a (Slight) Chance I May Be Going to Hell" by Laurie Notaro from my bookshelf really in the mood for her short, snarky stories, and am kind of disappointed it's a novel. I'm not sure why I assumed it wouldn't be, but it's kind of draggy and not at all something I'd think would be written by LN, with the exception of one or two really good zingers. I'm about halfway through, then will read "Candy Everybody Wants," by Josh Kilmer-Purcell, also a novel by someone who writes really funny first-person stuff, so we'll see about this new trend.

I tried and quickly discarded "Thin Skin" as one of the worst pieces of trash I've ever even put my hands on. Fortunately, I started "Bar Flower" and it is so great, I can't put it down!

I just finished Holly's Inbox by Holly Denham.  Really cute book!  Almost 600 pages, but it goes by really quick.  I'm listening to Momzilla by Jill Kargman, and I love it so far!

Brandi, I absolutely love Joshilyn Jackson, however; this was my least favorite book she has written. A lot of my favorite authors have done that to me this year! I have Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner to read next. I am almost scared to start it. But back to Joshilyn Jackson- I highly recommend gods in Alabama. Though I should warn you that it is not your typical light chick lit.

Now I'm reading "The All-American Industrial Motel." It's one of those ones I've had for so long and finally am getting to and I'm kind of like, WHY did I put this on my shelf? But it's bringing me in, so that's good!

I'm going to finish out the month with "Twenties Girl." Well, it SEEMS like a very thick book that could take me the next two days to read it, but sometimes I get sucked in and can't stop till I burn out my eyeballs, so maybe I'll be done faster!
