I am starting Shades of Earl Grey by Laura Childs.  How's everyone doing on the challenge?

I am on a mini- break from fiction to catch up on the Truth-is-Stranger-than-Fiction challenge, except for finishing up a fantastically-written novel entitled The Unchangeable Spots of Leopards by Kristopher Jansma, which I am reading to fulfill the category about Books About Writing. The main character and his best friend are writers. The author's sentences are beautifully-crafted. Interestingly, he writes in other voices as well: his characters have their own definitive styles which we read as stories-within-a-story.

Reading "The City, Not Long After" for the 'set near you' category. Good so far-not what I expected.

Hi, has anyone read a well-written novel where the action takes place in Southern California? I am in the market for one!

Thanks!

I just read a Laurie R King book titled A Grave Talent that takes place in San Francisco area.  I know that is not So. CA but the series is pretty good.
