Faye Kellerman's Decker/Lazarus family continues to grow while Decker struggles through yet another twisted path to solve the crime. A good read indeed.

Not as good as previous books in this series; part of why I enjoy these books has to do with the way Kellerman includes a sub-text of Orthodox Judaism along with the main plotline, and I didn't see that here. Plus I had it figured out way too soon...

A good, easy, mystery author without as much graphic imagery and profanity as others in the genre'.

This was the first of the series that I read and it got me hooked enough to get all the others. This is the introduction of the Chris character and any of the books he is in are the better books.

This story changes as the characters evolve. The wild child party girl and the vulnerable Cinderella virgin are drawn to the mysterious class Jock until one of them is found tied up and dead in a hotel bed. New twists and villians appear in each CD. As in real life, we don't know what to believe and who to trust. The truth does not necessarily set us free. Both male and female narrators add depth to this intriguing mystery. Primary male reader is "Buck Schirner". Sandra Burr and Tim Burr add dimension to the drama as voices of the Prom Queen and investigator.

From the book cover, "The cruel and bizarre slaying of a beautiful teen leads Detective Decker into the dark heart of an exotic subculture: the seamy, sometimes violent world of Southern Carlifornia's rootless, affluent youth. But even the confession of a disturbed kid with cold "killer eyes" cannot soothe Decker's inner torment. For he knows in his gut this crime goes much deeper and higher than anyone expects - and that true justice, brutal and complete, has yet to be done."
