Although the recipes are quite workable, this book is mainly a parody on some of the more famous authors. Each recipe is presented in the style of that author. Some of the authors are:Jane Austen; John Steinbeck; Virginia Wolfe; and, Homer. Some of the recipes are:Tarragon Eggs; Coq Au Vin; Vietnamese Chicken; and, Onion Tart.

So cute! I haven't paid that much attention to the recipes yet but the set up is remarkable....each recipe is written in the style of a different "classic" writer. Very unique!
