I have recently begun applying a rule of reading no more than one hundred pages when I find a book to be dull or otherwise not to my tastes; this book didn't make it past page fifty-three. The premise is certainly interesting enough - making $1 million dollars in a year via an on-line hip-hop karaoke site - but the other's writing style is that of, well, a reporter, and the book soon feels like a very long report. It is dry and factual, but not entertaining.
Perhaps it is because I live in San Jose that this isn't terribly interesting. I hear success and horror stories about Internet-related websites nigh daily; what's one more?
