Kat is the fourth book in Linda Turner's Wild West series. These books are about the Rawlings family.

Kat grew up ranching, and when she wants to start her own operation raising Texas longhorns, her brothers at first balk and then support her. The brothers are prominent secondary characters, but this book can be read without the other 3.

This book is fun with adventure, a bit of a mystery/who-done-it, and of course romance. All of the books in this series can be described this way. Some, if not all of them, even have gunfights! Wild West indeed!

The order for the Wild West books is:

Gable's Lady (SIM #523)
Cooper (SIM #553)
Flynn (SIM #572)
Kat (SIM #590)

In addition there are two books that are set in the same town with some of the secondary characters as main ones.

The Sheriff in the Wild West series is Riley Whitaker. His story is "Who's the Boss?" (SIM #649). A friend of Riley's is Dillon Cassidy, DEA agent. A reporter in town is Sydney O'Keefe. Their story is told in "The Loner" (SIM #673)
