Very well written!! I think this type of story has been told already but Scottoline does a very good writing job of keeping the story flowing smoothly and will keep your attention AND it will take a couple of turns you don't expect.

I have given up on so many authors due to the fact that they have gotten so bad about just filling pages with nothing important and it's just 'page fillers', it takes away from the flow of the story and can lose my interest quickly but I read this one in one day because it was hard to put down.

While the reviews are all over the place, I totally enjoyed this book and flew through it! I liked the father and son characters and hated the wife/Judge, a real bitch. There were lots of twists and I found it hard to put down.

I have read almost all of Lisa's bookas and love them all. This is a stand alone novel with lots of moral and ethical issues to ponder. I really liked the characters and interaction. There are a lot of gut wrenching decisions in this book, plus a few unexpected turns as well. Great book!

Lisa Scottoline was trying something a little different this time, and she did it very well, but the stakes were so high for the good guys and the consequent suspense so great that it went beyond my comfort level.

This is my least favorite book by Lisa Scottoline. I felt no compassion for the characters, except possibly Ryan, and felt the storyline was very unrealistic. From the beginning it felt fake and forced. The twist at the end could not even save this book.
