Devyn Quinn is an excellent writer. I think that is what kept me going in this book. In general,character description and building was excellent but the story was slow until the last quarter of the book, when everything suddenly starts finally happening. This is part of a series, so if you want the end of the story, be prepared to find the next book, etc.
