I enjoyed this short book about Ida Lewis, she was a remarkable woman, keeping the light going at the Lime Rock Lighthouse for years and rescuing by offical count 18 people and 1 sheep. She is the only lighthouse keeper that ever had one named after her. She was very modest and was never very accepting of the limelight for her actions. It was part of the job to her. This is the story of a simple woman who became a hero for just doing her job.
