I thought I would start a thread where we could put books that we have just read and made our keeper shelf.  I love to see what everyone's keepers are because it just might be a keeper for me.

OK, I will start.  It was last week but my Keeper is:

Beau Crusoe by Carla Kelly

Okay....I'll go second.  The most recent that made my keeper shelf was Lions And Lace by Meagan McKinney.

Loved the book but also liked the fact that it was a different historical setting - turn of the century New York.

I have both of those on my shelf too. I haven't added anything recently; I think the last thing was What a Woman Needs by Caroline Linden. Oh, and I found a copy of Heartthrob by Suzanne Borckmann, which I'd been wanting for my keeper shelf.

Wow, great thread. I've read some great ones but am trying to cut down on the keepers. The last one  COME FLY WITH ME/Jill Shalvis (used from my bookseller), however I've read some great ones in the last month from the library that would have made my keeper shelf - THE GREAT MONTANA COWBOY AUCTION/Anne McAllister and all of the Nancy Martin "Blackbird Sisters" mysteries. The love-interest in those books just flew into my Top Five romance 'heroes' list. Once I finish this batch of library books I'll probably have more real, not wishful, keepers to post. Can't wait to read what others are keeping.

OOOOOH!  I so totally agree with Angels' Blood, Ashley!  LOVED that book.  Loved it even more that Nalini Singh wrote it, she's one of my favorites.

The ones that just made it to my shelf are the entire Demonica series by Larissa Ione.  Love them all, although Wraith is still my favorite!

Perhaps I will read Angel's Blood next. Haven't read a paranormal in ages.

It took me forever to finish, but The Perils of Pleasure by Julia Anne Long is going on my keeper shelf - at the very least until the series is finished, since it looks to be complex.

Is it bad that I haven't added anything to my keeper shelf in YEARS?  :(

I almost kept Lora Leigh's Wild Card, but given the size of the current TBR, it's not as if I'll get back to it anytime soon.

Sounds damn sensible, Judy - as long as you're still enjoying your reading. My shelf is way out of control, though so pittling next to my TBR, I don't worry about it too much.

Judy - I have become so darn picky about keepers!  Makes perfect sense to me.

It has definately been a while for me to find a keeper too.  I do try to save some series like Kenyons Dark Hunters, but honestly I think it is just because I already have so many I hate to not have a complete set not because I like them.  In fact I don't think I have added anything that is not a series followup in a about 4 years...

I find that when I hate a book in  a series I get rid of all the previous ones too, even if they were in my keeper pile. That one bad book just makes me not want to reread any of them ever again.

I generally end up not keeping books I normally would when they're in a series with others I don't like.  I have that weird OCD thing too where series books are concerned; either I keep them all or I don't keep any:P

Ooh Sherri Ravished is one of my altime faves! I like most of AQ's books, although not all of them are keepers.

My most recent keeper is The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt. Oh, and Two weeks with a stranger by Deborah Mullins.

*Sigh* so many books so little space.

Somewhat to my surprise, Bewitched by Sandra Schwab. I found it somewhat annoying at first, bu then it got so good. It managed to have all the standard elements I really want in a historical yet be utterly unique.
