I loved the book. It made me curious to read more about the history and boats during WWII.

A delightful escape into WW2 in a small beach community on the Atlantic. Early life tragedy, Coast guard, submarines too close for comfort, community life on the beach, and a pretty cool ending.
I really liked this story, great historical setting and wonderful characters.
Haunted by inner demons, Josh returns home to command a small Coast Guard patrol boat near the lighthouse kept by his family for generations. It's a conitninuing reminder to him of the loss of his baby brother for which he was blamed. But he is convinced his brother is alive and seraches for him after German uboats arrive.
I hadn't heard of this author or this book. Bought it on a whim. Glad I did....story and writing terrific. Would recommend to anyone who likes a good suspensful story.
