Living with her gentle mother who dies and an abusive stepfather in 1781, a young woman runs into the forest to be rescued by a traveler who takes her to his home and introduces her to a kinder life than she has ever known and gives a home to her brothers. A very good story.

A great book about a young lady rescued from a bad situation, and a man learning that not all beautiful women are bad.
