SHE COULD HAVE SWORN MARC CARED FOR HER

But that had been 3 years ago when Daniella was a struggling art student. And he'd left her anyway, acknowledging they had differnt roads to travel.
Now Marc was back, making it clear that he thought she was a scheming gold digger who'd wormed her way into his wealthy father's affection hoping, when the time came, for a share in his will.
Marc seemed determined to think the worst of her- and he wanted her out. It shouldn't have bothered Daniella- after all, Marc Pembroke was part of her past, not her future.

I liked Daniella. She had a VERY difficult childhood, but still turned out to be a strong determined woman.
