I'm looking for books about misstress, preferably set in the past (pre-1950's) . And I like books to have happy endings (if i wanted real life I'd read the paper, LOL!!) and for the hero to not be to much of a jerk . Thanks!!

My favorite book about a mistress is THE DUKE by Gaelen Foley.

Susan Johnson has Temporary Mistress it was pretty good, and it happens to be on my shelf lol.

Edited to say the hero is a little bit of a jerk  though.

Mary Balogh has written 2 that I now of.  More then a Mistress and No Man's Mistress.

I havent read More, but No Mans was good.
