Hello all! I am in need of children's books in Spanish. My daughter is in a dual language program and needs to improve her reading comprehension skills in Spanish. Please let me know if you have any posted. Thanks! Rita.

PS--She's a 1st grader. She can already read 2nd grade chapter books in English, but she is still in the big picture books in Spanish. She'll definitely grow into Spanish chapter books, though!  So, I'll be more than happy to take a look at any books you have. :)

Rita - I am a new member here - so not sure if I am doing this right!  I have a spanish paperback (Cholastic) called:

Abran Paso A Los Patitos by Robert McCloskey    (Make Way for Ducklings)  This book was a winner of the Caldecott Medal and is a picture type book.  I am not sure of the reading level - may be hard for a 1st grader to read alone.

If you are interested, let me know and I will post it to the site so you can purchase it.

I have posted "Learn Spanish"  Its by Usborne books ISBN 0746005369. It's not a story book but does contain a lot of cartoon strips she may enjoy.  Paperback in very good condition.

Thanks, Jean! I just requested the book from you. Rita.

Sherry, looks like someone else beat me to the Learn Spanish book. Thanks for thinking about me, though! Take care, Rita.

Hello Rita,
