Hi everyone!

My 2 year old LOVES sticker books, especially the big ones (expensive!).  I did a "sticker book" search and found that there are quite a few listed! Yay!  I'm wondering about the usual condition of sticker books that are posted..  are they normally unused or would I be receiving a book with the stickers partially or completely used?  Obviously, I would really love to get a brand new book but since PBS is for swapping "used" books, I am not sure what I will get.  I looked for tags etc on the posted books but nothing was listed on them.

Does anyone have experience in swapping sticker books?

I know you can't swap coloring books, so I would think you can't swap sticker books either.....if you go to HC and type in what can be swapped?

I don't know if you can swap sticker books or not.  It's an interesting question.  My son wasn't that into sticker books.  If I haven't already given it away, I think we have an unused sticker book about birds... I'm going to look tomorrow. 

Perhaps you could include sticker books with books ordered from your shelf, but sticker books can't be ordered on their own.

I can't find that anywhere in the rules.   I think you are probably right but can you point that out in the guidelines? please

Also tags are not supposed to be used to not the condition of a specific copy of a book.  So they wouldn't be helpful anyway since how would you know that that was or wasn't the copy you were ordering.  Those kind of things are what Notes are for and only seen by the person who made the note. 

Thanks for the responses!  I went ahead and ordered one of the sticker books.  (It will be my son's 3rd copy of the same book!)  I have plenty of credits so if it does arrive with the stickers used it's not a big deal.  It will be interesting to see.  I will let you all know what happens since you were kind enough to help me! 

BTW, if you search "sticker book" there are 224 posted books for trade.  :)

You could also make a requestor condition:  "Sticker books must have stickers included and not already stuck."

You can turn it on when you request a sticker book and turn it off at other times (I know, saying "sticker books" should be enough, but people get easily confused and will turn down your other requests b/c there are no stickers, so better to turn it on & off).

Just letting you all know that the book arrived today (already!!!) and it is in perfect, unused condition!  I am so excited!  My son is going to be thrilled to have a brand new book to use.  Great experience!

That's great! I'm so glad it worked out well for you. I believe the rule is that the books are supposed to have all the components they originally came with in order to be posted at PBS. I suppose the stickers could be already stuck in the book though which would not be as fun for the child. Peggy
