Not one of the best historical romances I've read. It was a bit rushed in some places, and very slow in others. The worst part was the the woman was constantly whining, making you wish the man had never bothered with her.

It started off great, and the first half of the book was fun and exciting, but then the 2nd half fizzled and got a little dull and rushed.

I have read a couple of Kathleen Givens books and loved them. This was not my favorite but I still really liked it. The story did take some time to get started but once it did it didn't stop. In fact I liked it so much I went and ordered the second in the series.
