This is one of my favorite cozy series, Dead-End Job, by Elaine Viets. I love the Florida setting, and the main characters. This one was a bit too strangely colored for me, (just didn't care for the hair salon setting) but still a great read. LOVE Helen and Margery and will hate it when I am out of her books, keep 'em coming Ms. Viets!

I have really enjoyed this series with Helen, the dead end job gal and her quirky Florida neighbors and often strange jobs. This book has Helen preparing for her wedding and working as a gofer and general dogsbody for a well-known Florida hair stylist. Murder of a client's sleazy husband minutes after the client's wedding pulls Helen into trying to clear her employer of impending murder charges. I didn't like the story line and there was too little emphasis on Helen's likeable neighbors. Helen's doubts about her impending marriage seemed weak and unexplained. The ending was disappointing.
