There are none posted for trade but do you know anything about this book and its sequels?  Would boys enjoy it as well as girls?

More All-of-a-Kind Family

All-of-a-Kind Family Uptown

All-of-a-Kind Family Downtown

Ella of All-of-a-Kind Family

I read the first one when I was about 9 and still remember part of the story. They are very girl-appropriate, but I don't think boys would like them as much since the books are about a bunch of sisters. You might want to read the first one to your boys. If they actually ask you to read more, then they will probably enjoy the series.

Hi Oney ,

I agree. I read them all as a child and reread most of them many times. But my son was never interested in them. He was into historical fiction,as you can tell when you see my shelf.

I read these as a kid and loved them.  You might try reading one to your son.  Last year my ds9 and I watched "little women" for school.  I thought he would dread watching a story about 4 sisters.  He said he actually enjoyed it and wanted to read the book. As an only child I think he enjoyed the sibling dynamics.

I plan on adding All of a Kind family in next year when we study ancient history.  I want him to see how Ancient/Old Testament history ties into more modern Jewish culture.

These are wonderful!  I had this series when I was a child, and I bought them all again in trade size as an adult.  I am planning on reading the first one to my son (he's 9) soon.

I love, love , love these books but can't seem to get them here.  They can get $$$$ on Ebay so I wait and hope.  I have two of them now but would love to reread all five.  I truly loved these books as a child.  I wish someone would republish them!

I'd never heard of the books.  I checked our library website and they have them.  I'm gonna read one, I bet my dd would like them.  I looked on Amazon and some are selling for pennies.  There some copyrighted 2005, so those are the reprints right?  Most of those were in the 3-5 dollar range used.

I adored these books as a child and can't wait to read them to my little girl! Our local library got a few of the books on CD not too long ago which I thought was neat. =)
