Okay, now, finally, we can loan our Kindle books for a two-week time period.  I was hoping they would out-do the Nook's loan rules, but hey...I'll take what I can get!  I've gone through my books, and I have roughly 100 books that can be lent to others.

Maybe we could post what we think might be of interest to others here?  And lend to each other?  What do you think?

Good to hear. By "we," do you mean libraries? Do you have a source? Sorry, I've got a work-related interest in this.

Would love to share with others here.

Genie, no, my library doesn't do ebooks, just audio books.  I was thinking perhaps those of us with Kindles could loan books to one another.  In fact, you don't have to own a Kindle to borrow a Kindle book.

At this point in my kindle ownership, I have no idea how this works!

Jeanne, if you go to Amazon.com, and click "My Account", then select "Manage your Kindle" from the list there, it will take you to your Kindle page.  At the bottom is a list of all the books you have purchased, including free downloads.

If you click on the tiny X by the title, it expands and shows you when you bought the book, the price you paid, etc.  If the book is able to be lent to someone, there will be a button that says "Loan this book."  Clicking that button will take you through the steps to email the ebook to the person you are lending it to.

Ack.  Does that make sense?  It looks fairly easy.  You may loan a book for two weeks.  Then it will come back to you.  There's a link explaining the how-to's in the ebook forum, I think.
