I want one...I think DH would like it if I got him one and he didn't know about it. I may have to sneak one under the tree. Can always send it back if he hates it.

Oh never mind....buying him a 32" screen HDTV instead. Same price, too!

I know, Barbara! Isn't that awesome? Amazon! In the black friday area. Let me find a link...

Haier L32D1120 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black

I was afraid it was a limited deal, (saw it yesterday) but its still active. My DH said that is the company that took over GE, I have no idea if that's true. Anyway I didn't want to wait and chance the price would change so I ordered it today.

I think there will be sales like this on Black Friday. But I am not leaving the house that day. When we were at Walmart today there were no TV's like this for that price.

This TV can be attached to a computer, and he can surf the web on it, or play Netflix through it, from what I understand.

I got my Fire today...I haven't had time to monkey with it much, and this is my first e-reader experience so I have nothing to compare to...initial response is to say WOW! I had it unpacked, turned on, connected to wireless and on Amazon in about 5 minutes. I spent some time tearing the box apart looking for the instruction manual only to find it was all on the device. LOL

I was able to connect with Facebook and post immediately. I've downloaded my free book to borrow from the Kindle Lending Library (I have the Amazon Prime so that's one benefit) and it was there in just a few seconds. The print is nice and clear and easy to read, although I just 'looked' at it, haven't started reading yet. The touchscreen seems very easy to navigate, but that will take some playing before I'm totally comfortable with it. Will weigh in with more info, thoughts, opinions, etc as I use it more. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else thinks too.

I understand you can't put books into collections which would be a bummer. I wonder, can you chang the size of the font like on the Kindle 3? I keep telling myself I don't need another Kindle but my hubby is egging me to get one. They had tons of them at Staples and I stopped by to check it out while shopping yesterday. I also wonder if you buy it from Staples or Best Buy if you get the month of free Prime?

Thanks, that would be way too big for his room LOL. He's got the smallest bedroom in the house. (No we don't sleep together--he snores and wants the TV on at all hours).

Yeah....I am fine with my dog in my room (on the floor) plus I usually have my daughter (5) still in bed with me and sometimes my 8 up DD too.

O guess the TV is fine. Sometimes he has to turn it on and off a couple of times. *shrug* its his decision to keep or return.
