I just ordered the kindle touch,  I have a bunch of books that I have downloaded into the cloud reader.  Will I be able to transfer them to my kindle when I get it??  Please say yes LOL

When you register your kindle to your account, the books you already own will be there and you can send them to your kindle via the "manage your kindle" option at amazon. You might also be able to search for them on the kindle and download them, but I'm not sure.

I just ordered the kindle, and was looking at the free books. When I downloaded one it said it was going straight to my kindle.  How can that happen when I haven't gotten it so its not registered???

I forgot, they actually send them to you pre-registered. It's a terrible system for a number of reasons. :-\  You should also be able to send that book to your cloud if you want to read it now.

 They do give you the option of sending it to your cloud reader.  After I clicked on download to my kindle it did ask if I wanted to send it also to the cloud reader so I could read it now.

I downloaded a whole bunch of freebies right after I ordered my Kindle.  I got the 3G/WIFI one and it downloaded them all to my Kindle as soon as I charged it and turned on the wireless connection.

Ok got my kindle, does anyone know if you can get the covers of the books to show when you are looking at your library??  On my nook I love the library page, on the kindle all it shows is the title of all the books. Can you change it so the covers show???

So far, the only way I see the bookcovers on my 3G is to select a title from the list, then page backwards from the first page of text.  Usually when it opens on page 1 of text, at the botttom it shows something like 1% - that's where the cover, title page etc. are located.

on my nook if you click on my library it shows all the books with the cover.  I wish kindle had a different home page. But I guess you take what they give you LOL

Bertie I feel your pain at that revelation!  It's why I ended up giving my kindle to my best friend, who didn't have an ereader at all.  I love my Nook and I guess I'm just too biased.

I wish the kindle was more user friendly.  If I want to download a pdf format book I have to e mail it to my kindle free account and then it is  put my kindle.  I am still trying to figure out how to get the download into the dang e mail.  I am not a computer person at all. LOL.  Their live help so far has been a joke, everyone just keeps passing me to some one else. 

On My nook if I want to download a pdf book I just plug in the nook, drag the file into my folder and zap it is in my nook in about 5 seconds.  The nook is so user friendly,  and the home page and the library is so easy to see and use.
