Dissapointment

This book was just kind of OK for me. The writing syle was terrible, and the plotline was unbelieveable at times. Ally is a mean girl. I didnt like any of the characters at all. It sais the reading level for this book is ages 9-12, but theres tons of refereances to sex and alcohol. I suppose i figured out the moral of this book is to live life to the fullest because you never know when it will end... or perhapps, accepting people for who they are.... or even not to build your life entirely around the first person you fall in love with????? The only good part about this book was the cover. I didnt connect with the main character pssibly because it was a male author writing from a female;s point of view. Nice try, but it just didnt do it for me.

Ally (Algonquin - Al Gonk Quin) is a superficial mean girl that works for the school paper in her ho-hum town of Iowa. Set in the era where Zombies and Vampires live amoung humans, its considered a big deal if you are one of the lucky ones to date a post-human.

Ally falls in love with Doug, (a stand-in singer for a really awful band) and falls instantly in love with him because he shares her taste in music. After like one date she is madly in love with him, despite his foul smell and pale skin.

Rumors start to fly around school that hes a post-human zombie and just like that, she accepts him. Her school counselor has other plans for her. Her counselor is determined to turn Ally into a vampire, because its socially unacceptable for humans to date the undead.

Will Ally throw her life away for a zombie?
