Here's is link (I hope.) to my first knitting project.  I am not sure what it is suppose to be, but I am calling it a dishcloth.  Lol.

Anyways is this what the knit stitch is suppose to look like?

AND, does purling get easier?  I think I have the knit stitch down, (if I am doing it right...), but haven't quite got the hang of purling!

Hi Susan,

Looks like you've done a nice job! I think in the photo you have the reverse side (purl) facing the camera. It looks like you did stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row).

Yes, the more you knit, the easier it gets. Don't give up!

nice job.  looks like a dishcloth to me.  I am in a knitting yahoo groups called knittingnovices.  go to yahoogroupsknittingnovices and join.  you learn lots of good stuff.  I knit simple things and am trying to improve too.  Do you know about knittinghelp.com?

Free videos on knitting lessons.  Cheryl

Here's what the other side looks like.

Thanks, Linda and Cheryl!

Linda-- I hadn't figured out the purl when I did this, but now I think I have it down pat.

Cheryl--I will look into the yahoo group.  I have looked at the knitting videos, but only when I am at the library.  (On dial-up at home so it takes too long!)
