I"m trying to find a romance book that I read years ago. I remember I read it in eitehr 1988 or 1989. It wasn't a Harlequin book. I don't remember much about the book but I do remember 1 thing about it. The couple in the book ended up getting marred and this was mid way though the book. I remember thinking it was nice that they were cuase most of the time they didn't in books like this and they both wanted to.

I do remember the cover. It's your standard 2 lovers holding each other cover. They are on a horse (i think) it's white...she's in front of him and they are both looking out at the reader not at each other....he had on a white shirt and had long black hair. (I think her hair was black too)

I know it's not much to go on but, I gave this book away years ago and I wish I still had it. Can anyone help me?

One other thing I do remember is at the time the romance books put out by a certin comapnay/publisher had a heart in the upper corner of the book...it was something like their logo...or telling you it was a new relelase book...something like that.

Thanks,

Jenn

I think Zebra had a heart in the corner and were pretty 'racey' for the time LOL!

Your right Susanna. Zebra did. Thanks for giving me their name. I've been looking on line all night now that I can narrow it down. It might not have had a heart on the cover but, I do know it was a Zebra book.

Mountain Mistress was one of my favorite bodice ripper zebra romance stories! :-) there were a few others too but can't remember any with a white horse...

Are you sure Zebra was the one with the hearts? I was thinking Love Swept or Lovespell maybe....

Do you remember anything else about the plot or character names?

Samantha,

No i'm not sure that it was a Zebra book. The only thing I remember of the book was that the 2 characters got married - which seems to stick out in my mind cuase in most books that didn't marry durring the story, I'll check the Love Swept and Lovespell books too.

I know I have some Zebra romances and I'm positive they have hearts..some are shiny if I remember correctly, though other publishers probably had hearts too. the loveswepts are very good (at least themajority that I've read) but they're smaller sized from bantam, like harlequin/silhouette size. the zebra romances were thicker novels and usualy had the racy covers. I'm not familiar with lovespell.

The ones with the little iridescent or glitter hearts on the cover are Zebra Splendor.  You can search those in the database here - make sure you choose "All Books" under the Advanced Search tab, in case it's not posted in the system.  If it's not a Splendor it will be considerably harder to narrow down.  Seems like I've seen a gazillion books with couples on horseback:)  Do you remember anything else about the book?  Sub-genre, storyline, etc?

It wouldn't be Loveswepts.  Their logo was a wave-like design on the front.  No hearts at all.
