I got myself a new bible last week, because my old one was falling apart. Only this bible doesn't have book tabs like my old one. I am sad to admit that I have never memorized the books, and would love to do it, along with my children. Do you have a neat way to do it? Care to share?

I didn't learn them this way, but I know several people who learned a Books of the Bible song.  I guess it helps to put something to music!  If you haven't already thought of it or heard of it, you could search for it on YouTube or GodTube.  Maybe it would help!

Ashley, great idea. I went & found one on GodTube and my daughter likes it. Thanks!

I just bought the tabs that are labeled with the books and applied them myself.  I bought them at our local christian book store.  I've also seen them next to the bibles at Walmart.

I've learned songs for the New and Old Testament.

I don't want tabs. I want to learn them along with my daughter.

I bought the bible without tabs on purpose. =)

I'm off to practice my song with her. lol

Here is the song I found on GodTube, in case anyone else is interested in learning the books by heart.

Please don't chuckle at this LOL, but I always had a difficult time remembering the order of the 4 books following Corinthians. Someone told me to remember "Go eat Pop Corn." That did it for me. I'm in my 70's and still remember that prompt!

That's a fabulous mnemonic device! I'm going to share that with my daughter!

The song works, and it works fast. It gets stuck in your head. We both have the entire thing memorized already.
