This book is about Koko, a gorilla, that is being taught American Sign Language. Koko liked to read childrens books about kittens and she wanted a kitten. Finally she got her kitten! The book has many pictures of Koko interacting with her kitten, Ball. The book includes dialouge between Koko and Penny, Koko's teacher. You feel the excitement and love she feels towards her kitten. Just like you would watching a young child getting their first kitten.
