I've never read any of the IMMORTALS AFTER DARK series. None are posted here and none in the library. Are these books worth my continuing search. I'm new to these kind of books, but thought I'd give them a try.

I didn't care for the one I tried (the second), though I have heard from others that the first was much better. What sort of books do you usually like?

that's funny Willa- i wasn't so hot on the first one - but liked the second one better!

Brenda - I got both through my PBS wishlist and didn't have to wait more than a month for them to pop up.  I am still waiting on the looong list for the third one in the series.

I like her books, but am still undecided if they're keepers or not

I read the first couple and they just weren't my thing.  If you like paranormals with a lot of different types of creatures, then they might be up your alley.  They are steamy and fun but I usually only like paranormals involving soley vampires.

The first one is the best...start with it and go from there.  I always give the first book in a series a chance.

No, I don't think  lots of different creatures would be my thing. Just now getting used to the vampire theme in books. They seem to be everywhere. I didn't really know wher to start.

By the way Amy, I didn't find WINTER GARDEN at the new UBS but I did find 2 copies of TEXAS DESTINY.

I'm with Valerie---the first one was okay but I really loved the second one.  It's a keeper series for me.

I loved the first one.  It's one of my keepers.   The second was just OK.   I have the third, but haven't gotten to it.

They're vampire books, I think.  I love Kresley Cole, but not into vamps, so I think I'll pass, although well reviewed.

LOL, we are all so different in our tastes around here. It's great!

I loved all of the books equally and they are on my keeper shelf. In fact, I traded the first two, kicked myself hard, later, and now have them all again. :)  That is only the second series I have done that with. Alyssa Day's Atlantis series was the first. Grrrr! I really must think harder before trading a series.

I personally loved them.  Not on my keeper shelf but many fond memories of some steamy scenes!
