Is The Vampire Diaries related to The Night World series or any of the others.  I was trying to figure out the order but I don't understand the way they are listed in the system.

Anyway, what did you think of these series?  I've read the first omnibus in The Vampire Diaries and while it was OK, I'm not rushing out to buy the second--although it is on my WL.

What do you think of the other series she's written?

I think the Vampire Diaries were the worst books she wrote.  None of her series are connected.  I would suggest the Secret Circle Trilogy (if you like witches/spells) & the Strange Fate Trilogy (For Paranormal).  The Night World Series is good too, but still isn't finished, some are better then others in it.  I really loved them as a teenager.  I recently re-read some of them, but they dont have the same punch to them as they used to when I was younger.  But, I still own them all and wont be letting go of them.  I hope this helps!

I read Vampire Diaries and the first Secret Circle omnibus and was not impressed. They seemed super immature to me. That's one reason I was so surprised of all the excellent books out there that they chose to make a show after Vampire Diaries.  If you read the first half of Vampire Diaries, it doesn't get much better in the second half. Definitely not the worst books I've read, but just very mediocre in my opinion.

I read The Secret Circle triology back when i was about 14 and i loved them. I still have then, in fact. I have all three Night World omnibus and i have not read them yet but am looking forward to it.

I am not sure if the other series' have any relation to each other, however.

Thanks, all~~Like I said I read the first Vampire Omnibus, but was just sort of bleh on it.  I'll read the next just to see what happens, but there are a bunch of newer YA authors who have better stuff.  Loved My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent.

Becky, I loved that one too!  I also really loved Need and my absolute favorite of the year was The Hunger Games.

My Soul to Take is a great book. I loved that one! I have The Secret Trilogy and a few of the Nightworld and Vampire Diaries. Not sure what I want to start with.
