I am sure this is a problem that has been posted before, but I couldn't find it thru a forum search.  probably not hitting on the most specific terms.  The word "label" brought up over 2000 posts!

I use the Google Chrome browser.  When I try to print labels, they come out in a cryptic, jumbled mess EXCEPT for the receiver's name and address.  I can avoid this problem by doing the manual download, but then it uses three sheets of paper.  I have tried to change the properties from fast draft to normal, but that doesn't help.

I really don't want to have to switch browser's everytime I visit PBS.

Has anyone else ever dealt with this problem?  Have you been able to resolve it, or is it something I have to learn to live with?

Thanks!  :)

I might try redownloading Acrobat. I use Chrome and have had no issues.

Sometimes that happens when you try to print before the document has finished loading.

You may need to reinstall Adobe Reader (this is the format the files are in).  That's what I had to do the last time that was happening to me.

I've also had it happen a couple of times like Michelle describes.  It wasn't downloaded completely, so it came up messed up.

I use Chrome with no problems. I would try leaving the wrapper longer to see if it isn't loading completely. If that doesn't help, reinstall or update Adobe.

The browser shouldn't make a difference here since all it should be doing is downloading the file. Then Adobe Acrobat Reader should be doing the actual file opening and printing. What does it look like in the Print Preview mode? When I hit the print button in Adobe, I get a window that gives me a bunch of options (like 2-sided printing, etc.) and it shows me a tiny version of the printout. Do you get that too, and does it look normal there?

Is the manual download the button that comes up after the auto download that says "if you are having trouble..."?

It looks fine in the preview.  I just downloaded Acrobat a couple of weeks ago, but I will do it again.  This problem has been going on for a long time, well, not so much a problem as an annoyance....
