This was the first time that I have read Suzanne Brockmann and I really loved this book. I read it in two days and can't wait to read more from this author. If you like Romance with a little bit of supence then you will definently like this Author as well as this Book.
Quick Read. Originally published in '97. So not as good as her Seal series, but still worth reading. Strong characters, main and secondary both. Good story, though it could have used an extra couple hundred pages!
An improbable, but still wonderfully warm and sexy book about a beautiful 36 year single mom who falls in love with a 27 year old hunk. And to add to the dream, he is a cop with only a high school education and she is a tenured professor at Yale. But I loved it!
One of her earlier ones, finally available. She is always worth reading.
I read this book fast. It was a good book. I suzanne brockman a lot.
Classic Suzanne Brockman. Excellent mystery woven in with the passionate love story. Surprise ending and all.
Another one of Brockmann's best!!!
Another great Brockmann book. Originally published in 1997 - just re-released. Sparks fly between a Yale professor and a NYPD detective. Very quick - fun read.
This is a great read! As usual gives you not only a hero and heroine but a fully developed cast of characters that leaves you wanting more.
Good book, but not one of my favorite by this author.
quick easy read with likable characters.
enjoyable.....Ladies man gets rejection for first time. Title sez it all but: she is such a good writer, that the side drama is very well done and her scondary characters are interesting and believable. Well worth reading.
Written in 1997 but just re-released. "Ellen Layne is about to make the best mistake of her life" A good read experience.
When Detective Sam Schaefer was offered a ride in a limo with a beautiful woman, he couldn't turn it down. He didn't expect them to get stuck in traffic, nor did he expect a night of passion. Sam wanted to see Ellen Layne again, but she kept turning him down. Then he catches a case involving a deranged stalker. The target of the stalker is Ellen.
Ellen doesn't want to get involved with Sam. She's sure that eventually he will leave her for a younger woman and she'll be hurt. But Sam will do anything to keep her safe and win the woman he loves.
This is a reissue of one of Brockmann's older books. If you like a quick romantic story, this is a good one. My rating: 3.5 Stars.
Them moment she spies the rugged hunk in the faded jeans at the airport, Ellen knows she should run for cover. Instead she throws caution to the wind and plunges into a sizzling affair with the gorgeous cop. Between romantic dinners, sensual limo rides, and a perfect night of passion, Ellen is living every womans fantasy. Until she's caught in the sights of a deranged stalker and the divorced single mother is suddenly turning to NYPD detective Sam Schaefer for her very survival...
I enjoyed reading this book. Of course it isn't like Suzanne's Troubleshooter series, but her writting is always superb.

Soon Sam's taking a bullet meant for Ellen, and racing against time to stop a killer from hitting his target. Keeping Ellen safe will take everything he's got. Earning her trust could be a mission impossible, as two wary hearts team up for a summer they'll never forget--and a sizzling adventure that could get them both killed...or give them everything they've ever wanted.
It's all about making the best mistake of your life..
Hardback book! Wonderful read! Love Suzanne Brockmann!
Why doesn't she just marry a nice accountant and get it over with?
The moment she spies the rugged hunk in the faded jeans at the airport, she knows she should run for cover.
All of Brockmann's books are good.
