Mostly fluff, stumbled upon in a Cambridge Used Bookstore and looked much more promising than it actually was. The characters were interesting, but it was basically the same, stale predictable chick lit with some dotcoms and business investing thrown in. Not as much of a woman's empowerment message as I thought it would be, and the ending was a bit too implausible. Too easy of a way out.

What a fun read! Set in a working-class suburb in the 1980's. From an adult daughter's viewpoint, she tells the tale of how her mom and a few other lady friends get together, do suburban community work, and somehow make ten million bucks. The entire book felt like a Saturday afternoon movie: no thinking needed, characters to enjoy, and a happy ending.

This is a fun book to read, the lowly triumph over the powerful. If you're in an investment club, you'll certainly get a kick out of the plot!

This book was great for a light read - nothing too heavy!
