This 14th century mystery series set in York is, in my humble opinion, ranked only behind the pinnacle of Medieval mysteries, Ellis Peters' Cadfael series. Owen and the rest of the characters are so believable; Owen has his faults, but strives to do what is right. This second book in the series takes place in 1365.
