This is a bit of a strange beast as far as a romance novel goes, and not really what I was expecting from this author. I've enjoyed some of her other books, but this one involved a bit too much fighting/falling back in love/fighting/falling back in love/etc. for my taste.

Oh, the DRAMA!!! They love each other, they hate each other, they don't trust each other..... And these are adults?!? They act more like preteenage girls. A simple conversation could have prevented all the misunderstanding, but for some reason, they could not communicate - jumping to conclusions instead. But then, we wouldn't have all the ups & downs in this story, would we? I enjoy this author, but this attempt left me feeling like I was on a roller coaster.

I normally love Teresa Medeiros' books. But I did NOT like this one. The tension between the two main characters was way too complicated and actually got annoying about 3/4 into the book. I didn't even like either of them by the end. I had a very hard time getting past the fact that the male love interest raped the female love interest and she forgave him almost immediately. There were so many frustrating parts in this book that I almost didn't finish it. Thank goodness the rest of Medeiros' books are better than this and that I had read them first. If this had been the first book of hers that I had read, I would never have read another.

Teresa Medeiros again pleased me with her writing style. I enjoy the way she injects small bits of humor into the storyline. I would fully recommend this and any of her books.
