Being that this story is the continuation of Lord of Fading Lands you should not read this first. If anything, make sure you have both books in your possession. You will cut your anxiety level in half by not having to wait to get your hands on the sequel. I sacrificed much needed sleep to finish these books in four days and it was so worth it! The story reminded me of Poison Study by M. Snyder but much more complex and exciting. I was tempted to put these on my keeper shelf but decided to share instead. Enjoy!
Wow, where to start. This was the best book I have ever read!!! I laughed out loud at times and I cried out loud at times. I have read a lot of paranormal and gothic romance but NOTHING compares to this book. I thought the first book was good but this was unbelievable!!! I could not put it down, seriously! When I would be cooking, I was thinking of this book, when I would work, I was thinking of this book. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!
Part Two of Tairen Soul. So? Will Ellysetta and Rainier be wed? Or will foul deeds meet their doom? There were a lot more elements of magic in this book, and surprise guests appeared as a delight, and I am now obsessed with Fey. I am so deeply impressed on Wilson's indepth in creating their own language and customs. I'm impatiently waiting for Book 3 and 4!
Mei'felani. Bei'santi. Nehtah, bas desrali!
(Live well, love deep. Tomorrow, we die.)
Bodice ripper with a fantasy twist. Set in a realm of high fantasy the main characters shape shift and wield magic like pros all set to the subtle rhythm of a once in a lifetime romance. Fun to read and after the first book you can't wait to see what happens with Tarien truemates Rain and Ellie in the next installment. Great for cat lovers too. CL Wilson liberally sprinkles her prose with the magic surrounding the remarkable felines. This is the second book in the series, the first is Lord of the Fading Lands
Fun read, interesting world she's created, full of magic, mystery, and adventure. I thought this was the first in the series, and accidently read it first. It does stand alone though. I wasn't too lost. I would recommend it.
Always she had fought the dark visions and feared the magic and dreamed of a lover who would save her. Like a fairy tale he steps from the sky to claim her. She has to fight the fear that confronts her for a epic battle is fast approaching and only united with Tairen Soul can they turn back the armies of darkness.
Still loving this series. It took me a while to get acclimated. Maybe I waited too long between the first 2 books? In any case, I'm still liking them and can't wait to see how it's all going to work out. This is not a series you can read out of order. Make sure you start with Lord of the Fading Lands.
All I can say is WOW WOW WOW! This book rocked!!!!!! One adventure right after the other. Rain and Ellie's courtship becomes hot too. Best series I've ever read. C.L Wilson puts together a well written exciting world to explore.
He had stepped from the sky to claim her like an enchanted prince from the Pages of a fairy take, but behind the mesmerizing beauty of his violet eyes she saw the driving hunger of the beast and an endless sorrow only she could heal.
Only for him would she embrace her frightening magic. Only for him would she find the courage to confront the shadows that haunted her soul. For ahead an epic battle was fast approaching and only united could they hope to turn back the armies of darkness.
