Possibly one of the best romance novels I've ever read. This is Laura Kinsale at the top of her game. She literally rips your heart out with this one, and then puts it back together again. Masterfully written.
Sensuality Rating: R
"For My Lady's Heart" is one of the best historical romances I've read in a long time. Short on steamy sex scenes and long on well-written, suspenseful story, it kept me riveted to the very end. The setting is the Middle Ages, and Laura Kinsale has done a fantastic job keeping the story grounded through Olde English dialogue, vividly described settings and well-developed characters. I wouldn't have wanted to live during that time, but it's a great place to visit. I highly recommend this book.
If you enjoy something a little different in the historical romance department try this book. It is written with a lot of middle english that just makes it richer. There is even a dictionary in the back of the book.
