I could not finish this book, although I tried. Like many works of Christian fiction, this book is very earnest and sincere, even humorous at times, but it is very poorly written. The writing is choppy and the charactors are one-dimensional. This is apparently part of a series because it refers to events in the past that are not fully explained but I won't be looking for the others.
As a Christian, I prefer to read leisure fiction that is not packed with graphic sex or violence, but I also don't need to be "written down to" as if I checked my brain at the door of the church.
This book is definitely one that you will want to read as a series. Reading that way lets you follow the story better. Ms Graham has an unusual style of writing, but if you have ever had an eccentric aunt or lived in a small town, you will recognize right away the flow of the words! I truly enjoyed this book (and the series). The stories of the Willing Workers cracked me up.
A delightful book by a new South Carolina author takes us on a journey with a stranger she has newer met. With a light plot and humorous twists, Esmeralda uses her homespun wisdom to solve the mystery!
Awesome book! Quick witted, funny and inspirational story.
